The best of New York’s Financial District

Home to some of the tallest buildings in the world, the financial district is located at the southernmost tip of Manhatten. Every year is attracts hordes of tourists to enjoy views of New York Harbor and catch ferries to Staten Island or the Statue of Liberty. The streets are considerably more narrow and twisting in comparison to the rest of the city due to the first Dutch settlers in the 17 century. Financial District is relatively quiet in the evenings and weekends. A lot of grab and go places, but if you walk around the area between Water St and Stone St  there are a few upmarket restaurants and trendy bars to see.
