“Nature gives you the face you have at twenty. Life shapes the face you have at thirty. But at fifty you get the face you deserve.” – Coco Chanel

The idea here is that you’ve lived your life in a way that’s affected your appearance. You made your choices, both good and bad, so you deserve the consequences, right? Well, perhaps. I guess what Coco Chanel was getting at is that We are responsible for how we care for our appearance. It is mostly down to our genes, and lifestyle choices.

Clinique released their first sonic brush this year which is Dermatologist-developed with the use of two bristle types for targeted cleansing in hard-to-reach areas of the face.   I use this Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush once a week at the weekend as I think everyday use is a bit too excessive.

The green section of bristles provides a more thorough cleanse, it is perfect for the T-Zone as it helps target impurities, make up residue and dirt while also ensuring the skin is left smooth and re-energized.

The white bristles are soft and can be used all over the face in circular motions. These bristles feel really soft. To begin with, Clinique recommend using this daily for 30 seconds (self timer) and build up to 1 min twice daily.  You can also use your favourite cleanser with it (I used my Mild Liquid Facial Wash for the challenge) and massage in circular motions on the cheeks, whilst option for an up&down motions on the T-Zone.

The Sonic brush is waterproof and it has a preset 30 second timer. Depending on how often you use your brush will determine the amount of times you will have to charge it. Using it once a week tends to keep the battery for three months.
