No matter where you go in Bangkok, food is always available. Thai food is known for being incredibly spicy. Thailand’s cuisine is influenced by other regional cuisines such as from Burma, Cambodia, China, India, and even as far south as Indonesia.
When I first arrived in Thailand street food didn’t really appeal to me due to rumours, to avoid crushed ice and ground meat. Granted, most thai food at first does cause an upset tummy due to an intolerance to chillies or Chang Bear but this is normal.
What I like about eating on the streets is that you get a chance to see all the action and have conversations with the locals which you don’t experience in a restaurant.
